How to Care for Your Cotton Sheets

Cotton sheets care

Keep Your Sheets Beautiful for Years

Long-staple cotton sheets are an investment worth protecting. With proper care, your Beddie sheets will actually get softer with every wash while keeping their colour and integrity.

Washing

  • Wash before first use to remove any residual manufacturing softness
  • Use cold to warm water (30–40°C): hot water breaks down fibres faster
  • Gentle cycle with a mild, enzyme-free detergent
  • Avoid bleach and fabric softener: both degrade long-staple cotton over time

Drying

Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly, or line dry in shade. Direct sunlight can fade printed designs. If you iron, use a medium setting while slightly damp for the crispest finish.

Pro tip: wash your sheets every 1–2 weeks. We know it sounds like a lot, but your skin (and your sleep) will thank you.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place. Our reusable cotton bags are perfect: they let the fabric breathe. Avoid plastic containers which can trap moisture and cause yellowing.
