Care Instructions
Machine wash cold or warm (up to 40°C) on a gentle cycle with similar colours. Avoid bleach.
Tumble dry on low heat or line dry in the shade. Linen dries quickly. Remove promptly to reduce creasing.
Linen has a natural, relaxed texture — creasing is part of its character. If you prefer a smoother look, iron on medium-high while still slightly damp.
Do not use fabric softener. It coats the natural fibres and reduces linen’s breathability and softness over time.
French flax linen gets beautifully softer with every wash. Expect a small amount of natural shrinkage (3–5%) after the first wash — our pieces are pre-washed at the mill to minimise this.
Linen is naturally antibacterial, moisture-wicking, and resistant to dust mites — ideal for sensitive skin and warm sleepers.

Questions about Apple Ivy French Linen
- Is Apple Ivy French Linen good for hot sleepers?
- Yes. 100% French flax linen is naturally thermoregulating and moisture-wicking — the best choice in the Beddie range for hot sleepers or warm climates. It keeps you cool in summer and warm without heaviness in winter.
- Is the Beddie Ivy French Linen pre-washed?
- Yes. Beddie's Ivy French Linen comes pre-washed and ready to use straight from the bag — no initial stiffness or shrinkage surprise.
- Does linen get softer over time?
- Yes. French flax linen genuinely improves with every wash, becoming softer and more supple over time. It's the opposite of cotton which can thin out — linen gets better with age.
- What is the difference between Beddie linen and cotton sheets?
- Linen is more breathable and moisture-wicking than cotton — better for hot sleepers or humid climates. Cotton has a silkier hand-feel and is softer from day one. Linen has a relaxed, textured look that softens over time. Both ranges are OEKO-TEX certified with 100% plastic-free packaging.
- What sizes does the Ivy French Linen come in?
- Queen and King sizes across fitted sheets, flat sheets, and quilt covers.
