The Forecast is COLOUR!

The Forecast is COLOUR!

There is something about colour that gives us the feels. Good, happy, vibing feels.
Be it a bunch of natures finest flowers, or a wall colour, or a vase, or a tshirt, it doesn't seem to matter what, but good colour will always make us smile.
And then there's the brave ones that take the extra step to inject colour fully into their homes, and you just can't believe how much it lifts a space. And you want to do it yourself, but you get nervous. Understandable I guess, but how much work is it really? And how easy is it to replace with the greige and beige again, if you do feel the need to ever go back. :)
Paint a feature wall a bright colour and have fun adding all sorts of eclectic "things" you love and just notice how much you fall in love with your happy spot in the home.
If you can't paint the walls, here are a couple of ideas to infuse colour into your home:
.
  1. Hang colorful artwork. Make a statement in your living room by incorporating bold wall art. ...
  2. Use colorful throw pillows. ...
  3. Invest in a colorful couch. ...
  4. Put up temporary wallpaper. ...
  5. Use wall decals. ...
  6. Hang a tapestry. ...
  7. Add a colorful rug. ...
  8. Fill your home with plants.

Happy colors are bright, warm colors like yellow, orange, pink and red. Pastel colors like peach, light pink or lilac can also have an uplifting effect on your mood. The brighter and lighter a color, the more happy and optimistic it will make you feel.

Orange is a warm, inviting, and joyful color. It invokes feelings of sociability, enjoyable connection, and happiness. It has an emotionally-strong presence and promotes extroverted behavior, making it a fantastic color for gathering spaces to promote interaction and relationship building.

Yellow is the color of optimism, brightness, cheery attitude, and mental clarity. It promotes creative, clear, upbeat thinking and decision making. Yellow can be helpful in easing depression and encouraging laughter.

Green promotes renewal, balance, refreshment, and peace, which creates a calming influence and reduced stress.

The 70's era was when colour was booming in homes, and the forecast is it's on it's way back in spades. We're moving back into a world of colour, and I think it's never been better timing. Colour brings joy, and I reckon we can all use a great big dose of joy. :)

I have added a few pics that I have liked from my journey on the www. It's so much fun to see interiors from different decades :) Yay to colour!!
