The taste and smell of food can be extremely evocative, taking you back to eating food in a certain place or setting. A trigger of deeper memories of feelings and emotions, like Sunday at Nanna’s, or swimming in the ocean as a kid and then running to the table of goodies mum had prepared for lunch.
Memories that stay with us forever, and bring a smile or a pang to the heart.
